Just a quick post here...
Eternus Cruor hit the NGA vendors yesterday. This is the second installment of the Dark Retribution series of swords.
This one has some slight variations over the original, Soul Harvester. Aside from obviously being a sister blade to the first, it's decorative design has been changed to better suit the more vampiric role player out there. Color change has been applied to 4 areas of the weapon versus the original 3. The sheath also sports a slight change in it's design to give a better variance of color in the look with it's "fang" decoration color changing and the textures of the sheath body changeable as well.
It also has a couple different animations to give the look of the wielder using the evil looking "hypodermic needle" on the pommel as well as a different sound effect when the special CCS enhancement "procs" against an enemy.
I hope you'll enjoy it. Sword 3 is already on the work bench and on it's way. So stay tuned!

Death by Style
Who says your kick ass weaponry isn't a fashion statement? Who ever says that aught to be killed.
Truth is, in my world, and my Second Life, image is often everything, how you are perceived by those around you can often be deadlier than the best weapon around. But sometimes, just sometimes, the right weapon, or perhaps the right looking weapon, can make all the difference. Plus complete that kick ass ensemble you spent 10,000L putting together by greasing dance poles at every stripper club you could find.
Well I am a firm believer of fashionable weaponry. That being said, a few friends of mine and I have a project we are developing within the CCS community that we call the New Gomorrah Armory. Now as you may be able to guess by glancing over this blog, New Gomorrah is a sim I built and help run within the CCS community of sims. It is a role play sim largely designed for the Demon race within the context of the game. (go fig right?)
I could go on for another few paragraphs explaining CCS, CoLA, New Gomorrah and what it all means. But really, this post isn't about all that. This post is about stylish weapons.
That said, I am pleased to share these with you and some additional fun bits that I created with another member of our community to enhance the appeal of this weapons line. It's also helped to give the weapons themselves some story depth within the context of the City of Lost Angels, and really, anyone who chooses to pick one up.
So without further adieu,
The above story was written by yours truly, photos taken in world on location in the City of Lost Angels and then New Gomorrah by Cherryfizz Maltz. We had a lot of fun putting this together and I intend to keep them rolling. As you may have figured out from the story, a series of blades was created in the bowels of Hell!
So I'll wrap this up with a posting of the first of that series, the Soul Harvester.
Until next time...

Where's she been lurking?
I haven't posted to the blog-o-sphere in quite some time. As my Second Life often goes, I found my self with so many things on my plate, that the hours of the day were too few even if I was up all night most of the time.
Either way, I wanted to get back into using this blog again, and now seems as good as time as any.
Anyone who actually reads this will know about my store perhaps. But there is a lot more to me than just DMMDI. I have also been helping to run a role play sim which I built, designed to cater to you demon-loving freaks out there called New Gomorrah. I could do up a whole post on New Gomorrah easily. But, given changes on the wind, things are going to be overhauled with the sim here in the coming future more than likely. So I won't go into that right now.
Instead, what I will do is share a couple of pics with you of what's coming for DMMDI it's self.
I've been rebuilding my main location. Some changes that will be obvious to many of you is the use of Network vendors over conventional, out-of-box vending.
I shouldn't have to explain this, but the benefits for using the vendors (HippoTech to be exact) over static box vendors are so huge I can't ignore it any longer. Besides, I've redesigned their appearance to mesh well with the new face of DMMDI IN Brithys.
Now, getting to the point, the new store is being redesigned with the Wind Light clients in mind. It's also being redesigned to allow for...well perhaps some of you even, to rent shop space by my store.
So here's a couple of pics for those of you who care to look!

Content Theft in SL
As a content creator my self, I feel I should at least try to bring some more attention to this issue. This is an excellent article and I think it hits home on a growing issue that Linden Labs has taken a soft-handed approach to.
Content Theft in Second Life
I don't think there's anything more I could add here that isn't already said.

New Gomorrah
For roughly the past 4-5 months, I've been building a sim to contribute to the growing CCS community. For those that don't know, CCS is a popular combat system created and developed in and because of the City of Lost Angels. Owned by Suzanna Soyinka and Jora Welesa, CCS will likely prove to be the best combat system in Second Life.
I know I know, I say that because I'm an avid supporter of the game and the system but it's very true. I won't go into details here but rest assured, the system is getting a much needed over haul and moving into an area of development unheard of thus far in SL for combat systems and RPG in Second Life.
Getting to the point, one of the aspects of the game is it's racial make up. Varying races often vie for control over resources, territory, etc. And that said, I along with my partner odoriko and our friend Naeko Michinaga, obtained an island and have rebuilt it into a Demon sim.
Opening, HOPEFULLY, this month, New Gomorrah should prove to be a fun and interesting contribution to the CCS community of sims. A community that seems to be growing every day at an exponential rate. I think there's something like 20 sims almost now that all utilize the CCS system. And more are coming on board every day.
So, without further adue, and because I'd like to have this video at a more accessible location, I give you a New Gomorrah short film made by my friend Sloan McCoy.
Enjoy!
